One honest, installed price

Every price we advertise is the complete installed price — the tire, mounting, balancing, valve stems, and a full inspection. No surprise line items at the counter, and a fair comparison against any other shop's quote. Any advertised starting price always names the tire, the size, and exactly what's included.

Why winter tires make a difference

Why cold rubber fails you

Three things separate a winter tire from an all-season — and every one of them shows up exactly when the roads are worst.

  • 01

Rubber that stays flexible in the cold. Winter compounds keep their give at low temperatures. Transport Canada notes all-season rubber begins losing elasticity below about 7°C — treat that as a seasonal guideline, not an exact cutoff for every tire.

  • 02

More edges to grip snow and ice. Small cuts in the tread — sipes — create thousands of biting edges that claw into packed snow and glare ice.

  • 03

Balanced grip on all four wheels. Transport Canada recommends installing winter tires in sets of four to maintain control and stability in icy conditions.

Have AWD? Your tires still matter.

All-wheel drive helps you accelerate, but it doesn't help you stop. Even AWD and 4WD vehicles need suitable winter tires on all four wheels for traction and control.

42m

stopping distance on ice at 50 km/h — a winter tire pulls up far short of an all-season.

84m

the same stop on an all-season tire — nearly two car-lengths you don't have.

7°C

the seasonal guideline where all-season rubber starts losing its elasticity — and its grip.

Stopping-distance figures come from a documented ice-braking test at 50 km/h on packed ice. Actual results vary by tire model, temperature, and road surface.

Know the rules

BC winter driving, decoded

On designated BC routes, winter tires or chains are required generally from October 1 through April 30 — and on some routes only until March 31. The rules are about the tire on your wheel, not the badge on your vehicle.

  • ❄

Accepted tires: passenger tires carrying the M+S symbol or the mountain/snowflake symbol, with at least 3.5 mm of tread.

  • ❄

Mountain/snowflake beats M+S: the snowflake symbol marks tires built for better snow and ice traction — and it also appears on qualifying all-weather tires.

  • ❄

You're already covered: every tire we install for winter carries M+S or the mountain/snowflake symbol.

Questions

Good to know before you book

Get a quote→
What's the difference between winter and all-weather tires?+

All-weather tires carry the mountain/snowflake symbol and are a solid one-tire compromise for milder winters. Dedicated winter tires use a softer compound and deeper tread blocks, which still out-perform all-weathers in cold, snow, and ice.

I have AWD — do I still need winter tires?+

Yes. All-wheel drive improves acceleration, not braking or cornering. Transport Canada recommends winter tires on all four wheels for control and stability in icy conditions.

What does installation include?+

Our complete changeover covers mounting, balancing, new valve stems, and a full inspection — all itemized up front in your installed price.

Should I get a tire & wheel package?+

If you change over every season, a dedicated package saves time and wear on your all-seasons — your winter set stays mounted and ready to go.

How does the best-price guarantee work?+

Bring a written quote from any local shop for the same tire, size, and service. If we can't match or beat it — including the install — we refund the difference. No haggling, no fine print.

Do you service other vehicle makes?+

Absolutely. Our Parts & Service department fits and installs winter tires on all makes and models, not just Chrysler vehicles.
